Ernest Miller Hemingway and Carlos Alberto Piloto Cánovas have a common passion, the sea.
Since 1994 were more than 300 paintings created (oil on canvas), in middle and big size.
Time strengthens this union.
The cold and warm colors of his paintings show at the end of the millennium, who he was for the fischermen in Cojímar: Papa is an unforgetable friend.
To hold memories alive, to bring past to present, this is an intim reason for Piloto to paint Hemingway on and on.

Until the end of the year, a part of his work is shown in a special event in honor of Ernest Hemingway’s 100th birthday, "PAPA" – A Tribute to Ernest Hemingway in the IGFA – World Fishing Hall of Fame and Museum in Dania Beach, Florida.

The world of nature and the world of Ernest Hemingway are the subject of the production.
His plastic projection is based on an intensive study of the life of the celebrated writer.
His work reflects the life of Hemingway in its impressive nature, in its form, its color.

"The passionate nature of Hemingway is an inexhaustible spring of inspiration.
That means it’s a never ending way. To continue this work, to adapt this esthetical pleasure, motivates us to think about concepts of love, friendship, feelings of life, confrontation with death and the gulf stream as symbol of eternity."
